It’s an old folktale from Thailand of how peacocks and crows got their unique colors. Long ago, all birds on the earth had white feathers, until one day when a peacock and a crow came across each other. They agreed to paint colors on each other’s feathers so they would look different. Young readers can follow the story to find out how the peacocks got so beautifully colorful feathers but the crows only got plain dark dull feathers.
